Grow. Heal. Thrive.

What is trauma therapy, and how is it different from regular talk therapy?

In trauma therapy, we explore how past and present experiences shape your patterns, triggers, and unmet needs. My approach is compassionate and experiential—we’ll go beyond just talking. Together, we’ll work on connecting with your younger self, understanding your emotions, and practicing new tools for communication, boundaries, and self-expression.

Do you take insurance?

I accept most major insurance plans for individual therapy and offer couples counseling on a private-pay basis at $150 per session.

How long can I expect to be in therapy?

Every healing journey is unique, and so is your treatment plan. Most clients work with me for at least a year, as meaningful, long-lasting change takes time—just like building any new skill. With regular practice, self-awareness, self-compassion, and learning new skills, real growth becomes possible.

Do you treat symptoms of ADHD, anxiety, and depression?

Yes, I do address ADHD, anxiety, and depression—but not as isolated issues. I see them as signals pointing to deeper stories, like trauma, unmet needs, or attachment wounds. We’ll work together not only to ease the symptoms but to explore what lies beneath and nurture what you truly need.

Will I have to talk about my trauma in detail?

It depends, telling your trauma story can be healing—sometimes, simply being heard offers powerful validation. But repeatedly recounting the details can numb the emotional connection to the experience. That’s why, when necessary, I’ll guide you to slow down, tune into your physical sensations and emotions, and work toward deeper, more lasting healing.

What if I dissociate or shut down during sessions?

That’s okay. Dissociation is your body’s way of protecting you. In our work together, we'll gently explore how to reconnect with your emotions and sensations at a pace that feels safe for you. You lead each session, and I'll support you with grounding techniques and compassion, ensuring we only move forward when you're ready.

What happens if you aren’t helping me or I don’t feel like we are a good fit?

If you ever feel like I’m not the right fit, that’s completely okay. The therapist-client relationship is key to effective therapy—and it's perfectly normal to try a few before finding one who truly supports your healing. I’ll check in with you after about a month, and if it doesn’t feel like we’re connecting in a way that feels meaningful, I’ll help you find someone better aligned with your needs. Your time and healing matter—always.

How do I know if I’m ready for trauma therapy?

  • If you’re willing to face your past with openness, honesty, and vulnerability.
  • If you’re willing to feel discomfort.
  • If you’re willing to be curious instead of critical about your reactions and behavior patterns.
  • If you can manage emotional safety, meaning you’re not actively addicted to alcohol or substances and not at a high risk of suicide or self-harm.
  • If you're seeking true healing—not numbing, avoidance, or a “quick fix.”
  • If you are committed to long-term therapy for a year or longer.
